Console War

It all started with Atari. They made the first home video game system. Everyone loved it for years! Now people didn’t have to go to the arcades for only one system, but then nintendo came out with a system call Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) with much better graphics and games! NES Ran for years too and Atari stopped selling but then since NES was getting a little old, Nintendo made a new system along with Sega making a new system. They wer called SNES, and Sega GenisisThese were both much better graphics then NEs and started to even get a little 3D into the system. They waged in war for years and both of the systems succeded. Then never before had there been 3 consoles in a war with eachother. Sega and Nintendo made a news system and now Sony joined the console war! Sadly  Sega instantly lost to the newcomer Playstation because of its bad graphics and games! Since Nintendo came out a few years later, and had cartridges it also lost to PLaystation, but maybe the only two reasons it even put up a fight was because it was Nintendo’s system and also becuase it was 64 bit graphics. Also before and around this time a few other consoles came out that didn’t run a bit or get evn a little popular, some of these systems were, Atarti’s, Jaguar, a Panasonic Systems, Sega CD, and a Philip system. This is a neutral site and I don’t want to go against any fan of ps2, gamecube, dreamcast, or x-box! Anyway first off Sega tried to get an early start to the first system with 128 bit graphics because they hadn’t had a hit system since Sega Genisis. 2 years after Nintendo’s, N64 Sega’s Dreamcast came out. It was a hit with some cool games and the awesome graphics but not big enough of a hit. About a year or two after Dreamcast came out which was still not even beating N64 or Playstation1, then Sony came out with its next system, Playstation 2! A year after Dreamcast and PS2 really beat down all the sales of all the systems in the console market!  But then Microsoft is deciding to coem into the war and so is Nitnendo but since they are both coming out a year after PS2 has the advantage. Now I will talk about each of these new consoles except for DreamCast because that is over, it is so over that now Sega is only a developer and Publisher! XBox has the fastest CPU of them all and also it is getting some good developers because it is Microsoft’s console! GameCube is Nitnendo’s system, is only 200 bucks but thats only because it doesn’t have a dvd like PS2 and Xbox, and it doesn’t have some othre features tehy have. Gamecube has alot of fans though, but they still have that “Kiddie htought” ijn alot of bigger people’s minds. PS2 seems to be winning because its oging to have much better games by this january 2002 while Xbox and GameCube will still be new. But we will have to wait and see!
