Mario, Mario, Mario. This is the mascot and basically the main soul of Nintendo.  Virtually every Nintendo system kicked off wiht a Mario game. This Mario game first came out about 10 years back with the SNES.  It really showed the power of SNES. This is a very good revived game and copy of that. The bad part is not enough changes have been made, only a few minor ones.  Other than this the bets Mario game would be Super Mario 3. When Nintendo had GBA come out thye knew they needed a Mario game adn instead of normally creating a new game they just re made an old one. Since it was so old anyway most people bought it including me. The problem is after only 6 months Nintendo once again instead of making a new one they re make a game. There still hasn’t been a decent Mario game for GBA.

The story is very simple, once again Princess Peach gets captured as usual by Bowser and his buddies. Bowser had taken Peach and put all of Yoshi’s friends in eggs. So now the plumber brothers with the help of Yoshi will save the world battling through over 90 levels! For the game the levls are nicely put into the gba. I was impressed. It seemed to be really sharp adn even though it isn’t as good as it looks on the big screen its good. It seemed as Nintendo has purposly made each leevl for which Mario will be used.  Like if you would be fire or cape mario the world would be set for that and taht is a good thing.  The average level have secret stuff where you climb up the vines and get many things.

Now for the new stuff. There isn’t much as a matter of fact which is sad, but there are many minor improvments.  First off in the world map there is a very helpful menu now which is cool.  Now you can’t go back to any castle or dungeon or anything like that.  Luigi is choosable whenever you want and he jumps higher, floats a little, and his fireballs go higher. Also when you collect all of the Yoshi coins (5 from each level) you eg the Princess coin. Also Yoshi is cooler now too and if you somehow get to the secret Star of Road you get cool things. That is about it and tehre are a few other small things.  The worst thing that was not changed was multiplayer. I mean you need to play with friends.  It is the same exact thing and I could care less if it connects to the first Super Mario Advance. I mean they should have done something special with this game.  Let’s hope this won’t happen on Super Mario Advance 3 (supposed to be Super Mario 3 from NES).

The game play is of course awesome, I mean it is Mario.  You can play as Mario and Luigi. The different types of Mario’s are just plain old Mario, Super Mario, Caped Mario, and finally Fire Mario. I personally like caped Mario the best.  Luigi is actually good, cool, and different now.  There wasn’t much of a change but it is nice. The difficulty is of course mcuh easier than from SNES and since people don’t play handhelds for too long at one time you can save at any time. The graphics of the game are very nice, but not much difference. The sound could have been more re-made and better but oh well. My only regret is the multiplayer mode.
